Outside Lands Confirms Lineup Print E-mail

The inaugural Outside Lands Music & Arts Festival has confirmed its initial artist lineup. In addition to previously confirmed headliners Radiohead, Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers and Jack Johnson, the new festival will feature appearances by Beck, Wilco, Manu Chao, Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals, Widespread Panic, Rodrigo y Gabriela, Steve Winwood, Café Tacvba and Broken Social Scene. Organized by Bonnaroo promoters Superfly Productions, as well as  Another Planet Entertainment and Starr Hill Presents, the eclectic gathering will take place in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park from August 22-24. The festival will place special emphasis on the city’s local talent, boasting appearances by hometown heroes Primus, Two Gallants, The Coup, The Mother Hips, Goapele, ALO, Matt Nathanson and Sean Hayes. Other confirmed acts include Regina Spektor, Devendra Banhart, Cold War Kids, Andrew Bird, Steel Pulse, Sharon Jones and The Dap-Kings, M. Ward, Drive-By Truckers, The Cool Kids, Dredg, Little Brother, Grace Potter & the Nocturnals, Donavon Frankenreiter, Black Mountain, Sidestepper, Nellie McKay, Goapele, Bon Iver, The Felice Brothers, Rupa & The April Fishes, Back Door Slam and K’NAAN. Superfly will also look to its own New Orleans roots with performances by Galactic’s Crescent City Soul Krewe and Ivan Neville’s Dumpstaphunk.
