Members of Crowded House, Wilco and Radiohead Sign On for Seven Worlds Collide Print E-mail

Crowded House’s Neil Finn has reunited the core band featured on his 2001 Seven Worlds Collide project for a series of shows and recording sessions. Confirmed guests include Radiohead’s Phil Selway and Ed O’Brien, Modest Mouse/Smiths guitarist Johnny Marr, Soul Coughing’s Sebastian Steinberg, Lisa Germano, KT Tunstall, Liam Finn, Don McGlashan and Bic Runga, as well as Wilco’s Jeff Tweedy, John Stirratt, Glenn Kotche and Pat Sansone. All proceeds from the group's  recordings will go to support Oxfam International .

The supergroup is expected to record at Auckland, New Zealand’s Roundhead studios this December and January. While recording, the group will play a couple of “casual and intimate” shows at Auckland, NZ’s The Powerstation from January 5-7. The original 7 Worlds Collide project released a live album featuring highlights from a pair of 2001 performances at Auckland’s St James Theatre. In addition to Finn, the project featured Marr, O’Brien, Germano, Steinberg and Eddie Vedder, among others.
