The Earthdance Festivals take place annually across the globe, in an effort “to unite the whole world through the universal platform of dance and music.” More than 60 counties will participate in Earthdance 2007, during the weekend of September 14-16.

The U.S. hub event is  the Earthdance Northern California Festival which will occur in Laytonville, CA at the Black Oak Ranch. The Ranch, served as home to the Hog Farm community starting in the 1960’s, and currently hosts Wavy Gravy's Camp Winarainbow for children.

Earthdance Northern California will offer five stages of music along with an number of artists and activists, building on the theme  “unity in diversity." Performers set to appear at the Ranch include: Medeski, Scofield, Martin & Wood, Zap Mama, Ozomatli, ALO, Lyrics Born, New Monsoon, Zilla, The Motet, Alfred Howard & the K23 Orchestra and many others. In addition. on Saturday at 4 p.m. (PST),  Earthdance Northern California will synchronize with over 350 locations and a song entitled  the "prayer for peace" will be played in every locale, followed by what is being described as  “H2Om, the world's largest synchronized global Om.”
