The Kings of Leon will make its Madison Square Garden debut in early 2009. The quartet, which was first profiled in Relix back in 2003, has slowly worked its way through the New York club circuit and will headline the “world’s most famous arena” on January 29. “We can look at each other and know that we’re not fuckin’ rock stars,” frontman Caleb Followill told Relix at the time. “We’re a bunch of assholes who are just lucky and getting to play music.” The group’s last area performance was an intimate CD release party at New York’s Webster Hall.

Kings of Leon will continue to support its fourth studio album, Only By the Night, at Las Vegas, NV’s The Joint this Saturday.
