Gregg Allman will close out the year
with his first solo tour in some time. The Allman Brothers Band
keyboardist will kick things off at Westbury, NY’s Capital One Bank
Theatre on December 27, before making stops at New Bedford, MA’s
Zeiterion Theatre (12/28), Ridgefield, CT’s Ridgefield Playhouse
(12/30) and Glenside, PA’s Keswick Theater (12/31). Allman’s tour will
then continue into 2009 with stops at New York’s Blender Theater
(1/2-3), Annapolis, MD’s Rams Head On Stage (1/5), Falls Church, VA’s
State Theater (1/6), Montclair, NJ’s Wellmont Theatre (1/8),
Harrisburg, PA’s Whitaker Center and Salamanca, NY’s Seneca Allegany
Casino & Hotel (1/10).
For this tour, Allman’s band will consist of Bruce Katz (keyboard),
Jerry Jemmott (bass), Steve Potts (drums), Mark McGee (guitar), Jay
Collins (sax) and Floyd Miles (percussion). The keyboardist recently
completed his first amphitheater run with the Allman Brothers Band
since undergoing treatments for Hepatitis C. “I feel great,” Allman
said. “We did about 20 shows this summer and we were really hitting
it.”
