Garaj Mahal will release its next studio album w00t on its town Owl Studios label. A steady presence on the jamband scene  since their formation in 2000, Garaj Mahal has scored numerous fans with their self-proclaimed "shut-up-and-listen" grooves. Garaj Mahal's sound–a convergence of jazz-style improvisation, Middle-Eastern atmospheres and danceable American funk–has also played members of the trio onstage with the likes of Dizzy Gillespie, John McLaughlin, Sting, Cassandra Wilson, Dave Holland, Bela Fleck, Chick Corea, Steve Smith, Zakir Hussain, Edgar Meyer, Les Claypool, Trey Anastasio, Umphrey's McGee, MMW, Steve Kimock and Michael Manring.

The group will kick off an extended tour in support of w00t on August 24 at Madison, WI’s Orton Park Fest. Of particular note is the group's October 31 stop at Hamilton, Ontario's pepper Jack'.
