Fats Domino's scheduled Thursday taping of the Late Show with David Letterman has been cancelled due to the current Hollywood writers strike. The New Orleans legend was scheduled to perform "My Blue Heaven" with Norah Jones as part of his first trip to New York in over two decades. Most late night television shows are in reruns because of the current writers strike. Domino is, however, still scheduled to appear on The Today Show on November 9 and will make a rare in-store appearance at Border’s Columbus Circle later that evening.

Domino is in New York to support the new compilation Goin' Home: A Tribute To Fats Domino. An eclectic mix of musicians featured on the disc will also pay tribute to Fat Domino at New York’s Pink Elephant this Thursday, including Ivan Neville, Gavin DeGraw, Leo Nocentelli, Eric Krasno, Adam Deitch, Olu Dara, Michelle Branch, Toots Hibert and Lloyd "Lawdy Miss Clawdy" Price, among others.
