After wrapping up his summer tour with Pearl Jam, Eddie Vedder
will hit the road for a series of intimate solo appearances. Vedder’s upcoming shows
will shy away from the West Coast, which Pearl Jam frontman already hit in April.
As of press time, Vedder’s solo tour will make stops in Boston
(8/1-2), New York (8/4-5), Newark,
NJ (8/7), Montreal
(8/9),Toronto (8/12-13), Washington,
DC (8/16-17), Milwaukee
(8/19) and Chicago
(8/21-22). Like his previous solo appearances, Vedder’s setlist will focus on
his contributions to the Into the Wild soundtrack, as well as select songs from Pearl Jam’s
extensive canon.
Last night, Pearl Jam played an intimate benefit for the
Robin Hood Foundation at New York’s
Beacon Theatre. Taking advantage of their rare theater date, the members of the
group opened the evening with a cover-heavy sit down mini-set. The group then
launched into a full electric performance that came to a close with a cover of
The Who’s "Baba O'Riley." Pearl Jam will pay tribute to the legendary
British-rockers at Los Angeles’ Pauley Pavilion on July 12 at
the VH1 Rock Honors.
