Dave Matthews Band
will return to New York’s Madison Square
Garden on September 10 as part of the Stand
Up For A Cure concert series, which will benefit cancer research at New York’s Memorial
Sloan-Kettering Cancer
Center. Matthews has
performed at Madison
Square Garden
no less than sixteen times since 1996, most recently in December of 2005.
A limited number of tickets to the show will be available to
members of the Dave Matthews Band’s the official Dave Matthews Band fan
association, the Warehouse, beginning at 12 noon on Friday, May 9. According to
the band, there will not be a public sale of tickets for the Stand Up for a
Cure benefit concert. Bon Jovi, Jerry
Seinfeld, Brian Wilson and Andrea Bocelli are among the other high-profile acts
that have signed on to perform at various New York venues as part of the charity series.
