As previously reported, Widespread Panic will ring in 2008 with a
performance at Atlanta’s
Philips Arena. For the first time, the group’s annual performance will also be
broadcast across the country on CNN’s New
Year’s Eve Live with Anderson Cooper. The Atlanta-based cable network will
be checking in at hotspots across the country from New
York’s Times Square from 11 p.m.
to 12:30 a.m (EST) and will cut to the Arena intermittently to
offer live music from Panic's performance. The group’s entire show will also be
simulcast on SIRIUS Satellite Radio’s Jam On station. Widespread Panic will
perform an intimate Tunes For Tots benefit at Atlanta’s Roxy Theatre on December 31.
