Last night, Pearl Jam opened a two-night run at New York’s Madison
Square Garden.
In addition to a three-piece choir, Pearl Jam invited latter-day Ramones
bassist C.J. Ramone out for a take on his band’s “I Believe In Miracles.” Before
the bassist took the stage, noted Ramones fanatic Eddie Vedder mentioned that despite
being New York legends, the Ramones never had a
chance to play Madison
Square Garden.
Pearl Jam also offered a number of other covers, including Pete Townshend’s “Love Reign O'er Me,” Victoria
Williams’ “Crazy Mary” and Bob Dylan’s “All Along the Watchtower.” Pearl Jam
will return to MSG this evening. For a review of last night's show, click here
