Bell X1 will embark on its
first U.S.
headlining tour this March. The group, which first received some buzz as Damien
Rice’s former group, became one of the biggest live draws in its native Ireland after
releasing their 2005 studio album Flock. Since
then the band began to make waves across the pond. After headlining Toronto’s El
Macambo on March 12, the group will appear at Philadelphia’s World Café Live
(3/13), Boston’s TT The Bears (3/14), New York’s Bowery Ballroom (3/15),
Chicago’s Schuba's (3/19), Minneapolis’ Varsity Theater (3/20), Los Angeles’ Troubadour
(3/24), San Francisco’s Café Du Nord
(3/26), Portland, OR’s Dante's (3/28), Vancouver’s Plaza Club (3/29) and Seattle’s
Nectar Lounge (3/30).
