Hip-hop/party trio Beastie Boys unveiled their new live show at the 2007 edition of Sasquatch. As a nod to their new all instrumental album, The Mix-Up, the trio offered both a set of classic Beastie Boy material and a set of completely instrumental music. In August, the group will hit the road for a full tour, headlining Philadelphia’s Festival Pier (8/1), Boston’s Bank of America Pavilion (8/6),New York’s Summerstage (8/8), Brooklyn’s McCarren Pool (8/9), Denver’s Red Rocks (8/16), Santa Barbara’s County Bowl (8/23) and Berkeley’s Greek Theater (8/25). According to the group, those dates will “feature Beastie Boys in all their traditional hip hop glory.” Additional, more intimate dates showcasing the instrumental configuration featured on The Mix-Up will be announced shortly. The Mix-Up is due out June 26 on Capitol.  Pre-sales for the above dates begin Thursday June 14th, with on-sales following Friday June 15th and Saturday June 16th.  For more details, visit beastieboys.com .
