Wednesday night in Nashville,
TN, following her soundcheck at
The Ryman Auditorium, Regina Spektor was taken to a local hospital after
collapsing due to a severe inner ear infection which caused a sudden case of
vertigo. Spektor was released later in the evening and is resting comfortably.
In a statement the singer said she is “extremely disappointed that she had to
cancel on her fans but will return to The Ryman on December 6th, where all
tickets will be honored or refunded.” She also cancelled her Thursday evening appearance
at Atlanta’s The Tabernacle, but the rest of her
North American tour will continue as planned beginning tonight, November 16th,
in Norfolk, VA.
Spektor is currently on a North American tour in support of
her album Begin to Hope.
